Brics promotes debate competition between graduate students

Registration for the 2026 BRICS Debate Competition is open until May 31st. Master’s and doctoral students will debate the theme “BRICS and the Global South: reforming global governance or reproducing existing inequalities?”, addressing topics such as global governance reform, financial systems, inequality, development outcomes, representation and global security.
The competition is organized by the BRICS Research Institute, in partnership with the University of Venda (Univen), the Durban University of Technology (DUT), and TV BRICS, and brings together postgraduate students from Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.

🏆Award:
The national champions of each BRICS country will compete in the final competition hosted in Russia, in December.
