Postdoctoral researchers from Coppe/UFRJ’s Civil Engineering Program (PEC), Alexis Jair Enriquez-Leon and Leni Leite, were awarded the ANPET Award for Scientific Production 2025 during the 39th Congress on Research and Teaching in Transportation, held from November 10th to 14th, 2025, in Goiânia (GO).
Considered the main scientific event of the transportation sector in the country, the congress is an initiative of the National Association for Research and Teaching in Transportation (ANPET), in partnership with the Federal University of Goiás (UFG) and PUC Goiás. Every year, the meeting brings together researchers, professors, students and professionals to discuss advancements, challenges and solutions for the future of mobility in Brazil.
The Coppe researchers were awarded in the category “Best Paper” in the Transportation Infrastructure area, with the study “Relation between the molecular structure and fatigue resistance in Brazilian asphalt binders”. The work was developed in co authorship with the supervisor, professor Thiago Aragão, with his former doctorate students from PEC Marco Lamha Rocha and Luciana Nogueira, and with researchers Luís Alberto Herrmann, Luiz Chinelatto and Margareth Carvalho.
Created in 2014, the ANPET Award for Scientific Production recognizes the best papers accepted for publication in the conference proceedings, linked to the thematic areas of the event.
