On March 16th, Coppe/UFRJ will welcome its new master’s and doctoral students for the 2026 New Student Reception — a special moment that marks the beginning of a new academic and professional stage.
More than a ceremony, the meeting represents entry into a community that, for decades, has trained researchers, leaders and innovators who contribute to the advancement of science, engineering and the development of Brazil.
Led by Professor Jean-David Caprace, Director for Academic Affairs, the event introduces new students to the history, values and opportunities that make Coppe an international reference in teaching, research and innovation.
Throughout this journey, students will have access to cutting-edge infrastructure, national and international collaboration networks and an interdisciplinary academic environment that encourages the creation of knowledge and solutions to major societal challenges.
