Coppe/UFRJ’s Business Incubator welcomed, this Wednesday (30/07), four new startups that are now integrating one of the most active innovation environments in the country. With proposals based on cutting edge technology and solutions focused on strategic challenges, the companies Bean Possible, CarbonAir Energy, GNOxi and NeoBio Nexus (NBION) join the 22 already resident companies, expanding the diversity and transformative potential of Coppe’s innovation ecosystem.
During the opening of the reception, the Incubator’s head, Marcos Chaves, highlighted that the Incubation Program is constantly evolving, with new initiatives about to be launched. According to him, strategic areas such as Renewable Energy and Decarbonization, Oil and Gas and Biotechnology have established themselves as central axes of the program, now further strengthened by the arrival of startups that bring technological solutions aligned with global challenges and market demands. He also highlighted the cross-cutting role of Artificial Intelligence, now present in various stages of research, development and application of the incubated technologies, in addition to its integration with Social Technology ventures.

The event was attended by representatives from Sebrae-RJ, UFRJ’s Science Park and the startups themselves. CarbonAir Energy, represented by Bianca Pinto and José Adolfo, presented its advanced materials for carbon capture and storage, already at an advanced technological stage and with market-ready applications. GNOxi, in Lucas Tonetti’s presentation, highlighted its nanomaterial production technology by recovering metals dissolved in industrial effluents, promoting circularity and environmental innovation.
In the sustainable food sector, Bean Possible, hosted by Gabrielle Gautério, has been developing innovative ingredients and beverages by reusing agricultural products discarded by the market, such as underutilized beans. NeoBio Nexus (NBION), led by Ísis Paes and Lucas Ramos, works at the borderline of tissue bioengineering, offering regenerative medicine solutions that have already been successfully tested in animals.
