Created in 1967, our program is recognized for our excellence in education and research in metals, minerals, polymers, composites, ceramics, and biomaterials. We provide master’s and doctoral courses, with an intensive exchange with national and international institutions. We also participate in the undergraduate education process, standing out for our integration with the Polytechnic School at UFRJ.

These undergraduate and graduate students frequently participate in projects we develop for companies that seek technological solutions for their processes and products. This contact facilitates the insertion of graduate students into the job market.
