Our pioneering program gave rise to Coppe in 1963, becoming a model for other graduate courses in Brazil. We distinguish ourselves through our innovation, standing firmly at the forefront of chemical engineering. Since the first time Capes evaluated graduate Engineering courses, we have been awarded the maximum grade (7).

Our students receive a solid education in chemical engineering sciences, focusing on solving problems with socioeconomic impact. This allows them to work with the government and the industrial and academic sectors.
