Embrapii-COPPE

Embrapii (Brazilian Association of Research and Industrial Innovation) was created in 2011 by the Brazilian Government through the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MCTI) and the Ministry of Education (MEC). It works in tandem with public and private scientific research institutions for stimulating the industrial sector and supporting select competencies. Therefore, it carries out technology research and development projects that enable innovation and improvements in the competitive strength of companies in the national and international markets.

Embrapii-Coppe provides companies established in Brazil with non-reimbursable financial resources for research projects with Coppe/UFRJ, in Oil and Gas/Renewable Energy Engineering, Route 2030, and Biofuels+BNDES. Its contracts are based on the opportunities to explore synergies between technology research institutions and industrial companies, which ultimately strengthen the Brazilian innovation capacity.
