Coppe stands out in the 2025 ANP Award with members involved in five finalist projects

Five projects with the participation of members from Coppe/UFRJ are finalists for the 2025 ANP Technological Innovation Award, reinforcing the institute’s excellence in applied research in the energy sector.
The awards ceremony will take place on December 5th, and at least one member from Coppe is already guaranteed among the winners, as all finalists in Category II are coordinated by professors from the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Program (PEMM).
Category II – Transportation, Pipelines, Refining and Supply
Robot for inspecting catalyst tubes (CTAs) in steam reforming furnaces – Development of a robot capable of evaluating the integrity of tubes used in hydrogen production, increasing precision and operational safety.

Category VI – Technological Adoption
Digital Twin for Subsea Flexible Pipelines (FLEXBOARD) – A digital platform that continuously assesses the integrity of subsea pipelines, optimizing their lifespan and reducing costs and emissions.
