Created in 1971, we were the first Brazilian graduate program in our field. We offer master’s and doctoral courses for students from health and exact sciences. With a comprehensive scope of activity, we enable students to work with various sectors, such as universities, research centers, industries, service companies, and hospitals, as well as their correlated areas, including signal processing, sports, scientific instrumentation, informatics, and projects and maintenance of complex systems and instrumentation equipment.
By applying methods in biological, medical, and exact sciences with a multidisciplinary and multi-professional approach, we contribute to the scientific, economic, industrial, and social development of various areas and sectors. Our program’s lines of research are mainly in the following areas: Medical Image and Signal Processing, Movement Analysis and Exercise Physiology, Lung Engineering, Health Systems Engineering, Biomedical Instrumentation, and Ultrasound in Medicine.
