Professor Príamo Melo, from Coppe/UFRJ’s Chemical Engineering Program, will present on October 22nd the lecture “Hunger for None: Powered by Chemical Engineering”, which integrates the annual Darsh Wasan Lecture, promoted by the Illinois Institute of Technology (Illinois Tech), in Chicago. Príamo has been selected as the first visiting professor of the newly created Darsh Wasan Visiting Professorship, an important milestone in Coppe’s internationalization (learn more) and reinforces the recognition of scientific excellence and the leading role of Brazilian engineering in cutting-edge research centers.
During the lecture, the researcher will discuss his research on nitrogen fertilizers, which are essential to ensure crop growth and global food security, sharing his expertise in chemical processes and contributing to international scientific dialogue.
