Coppe professors will participate in the 10th edition of the Green Cities Seminar

The 10th edition of the Green Cities Seminar will bring together, on September 10th and 11th, renowned experts to discuss “Blue Cities and the energy transition: challenges and opportunities.” Among them are Coppe/UFRJ professors Andrea Santos (Transport Engineering) and Jerson Kelman (retired from the Civil Engineering program).
Over the course of two days, the schedule will gather specialists, public managers and representatives of academic institutions to discuss paths and solutions that combine sustainability, innovation and quality of life.
Andrea Santos and Jerson Kelman will participate in the roundtable: “Cities need to offer quality of life to their citizens.” on the 10th, at 2 p.m. On the 11th, at 10:00 am, Andrea will make her second appearance at the event, on the panel “The best energy source for cities,” alongside Amanda Schutze from FGV-Clima SP, Ilan Cuperstein, coordinator of international relations for the Rio de Janeiro City Hall and Sérgio Bessermann, president of the Botanical Garden Institute (IJB).
