Outreach and the SIGA system
Registering and Approving Outreach Actions
Since 2019, all outreach actions at UFRJ need to be registered in the Integrated Academic Management System (SIGA). We therefore ask that outreach coordinators update the registered actions or register their new courses, events, projects, and programs directly in the system.
Click here to read the guidelines on registering and keeping your outreach action up to date.

Filling in the Report of a completed Outreach Action in SIGA
1 – Log in the SIGA system, choose the “Extensão” (Outreach) tab and select “ver/gerenciar ações de extensão” (view/manage outreach actions);
2 – Click on the outreach action you wish to make the report on;
3 – At the top of the page, click on “relatórios” (reports);
4 – On the new page, click on “incluir novo relatório” (new report);
5 – On the first page of the report, the outreach action coordinator must inform the period of activity for the report and click on “prosseguir” (proceed);
6 – The following page shows the registered information of the outreach action, requesting that you fill in the following items: generated products, participating members (for courses and events), achieved goals, difficulties met, and other considerations;
7 – The report imports information from the registered action entry. As such, it is even more important that the outreach action is up to date. The report can only be submitted once all fields are updated.
8 – To save the information you have filled in and finish filling it in later, click on “Salvar” (Save). With a complete report, click on “submeter” (submit). Note: Report frequency must meet the provisions of Article 32, Chapter VI, CEU Resolution 02/2020 (University Outreach Regulations – Federal University of Rio de Janeiro), as transcribed below:
Art. 32 – The Coordinator of a University Outreach Action must submit the reports to the PR-5 (Assistant Rector’s Office for Science Outreach).
- 1º Course and event reports must be submitted to the PR-5 via our system at the end of each outreach action.
- 2º Project and program reports must be sent to the PR-5 via our system after a twelve-month period since the beginning of an outreach action.
- 3° Reports must be submitted within 60 (sixty) days of the completion date of an outreach action.
- 4º Outreach action coordinators who fail to submit an activity report will not be able to apply for PR-5 calls.
