Palestrantes: Sylvia Anjos - executive director for Exploration and Production at Petrobras
Coppe/UFRJ will promote, on October 24th, an Open Class with Executive Director for Exploration and Production at Petrobras, Sylvia Anjos. With the theme “Energy Independence and environmental preservation: The challenge of exploring the Equatorial Margin to replenish oil reserves”, the class will be carried out at 10 a.m. in Coppe’s auditorium at UFRJ’s Centro de Tecnologia, block G, room 122 – Avenida Horácio Macedo, 2030, Cidade Universitária.
Appointed as director in June of this year, Sylvia Anjos has held the position of special consultant to the Petrobras presidency since 2023. She has a Geology degree from UFRJ and a PhD from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign (EUA).
Sylvia has over 42 years of experience in the Petrobras’ E&P area, having taken several management positions in the industry. Member and co-founder of the IBP Diversity Committee, she was also vice president at the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) Latin America.
