Coppe/UFRJ once again has stood out in one of the most important innovation prizes in the country, the Petrobras Inventor Award, that recognizes advanced technologies developed in their laboratories and applied in the energy sector, contributing directly to the industry’s development. The award recognizes researchers from Petrobras and partner institutions responsible for projects which have resulted in patent registrations.
In this 25th edition of the Award, nine technologies from Coppe and partner units of UFRJ were contemplated, in addition to a startup resident in the Coppe Business Incubator, solidifying the university as a reference in science, technology, and innovation. The awards ceremony took place this Tuesday, August 19th.
At Coppe, the awardees work or have worked in the Civil Engineering (PEC), Chemical Engineering (PEQ) and Metallurgical and Materials Engineering (PEMM) programs. A special mention goes to PEMM, which brought together nine researchers and students awarded this year.
