Why Engineering? The pathways of Robotics: underwater, terrestrial and aerial

On July 3rd, Coppe/UFRJ will promote the second edition of “Why Engineering?”, which shall have as its theme “The Pathways of Robotics: underwater, terrestrial and aerial”. The event is free, interactive and part of the science outreach. It will be led by professor Alessandro Jacoud from the Electrical Engineering Program (PEE) at Coppe, who will present robots developed by Coppe’s Automation and Robotics Simulation and Control Group (GSCAR).
The robots to be presented are aimed at real and inspiring applications: from monitoring oceans and underground tunnels to remotely inspecting industrial and offshore environments.
This is the second meeting which brings a young audience closer to the fascinating engineering universe, its technologies and possibilities. If you are curious, enjoy science and technology and want to understand how engineering works in society on a daily basis, this event is for you.
